Former multiple division boxing champion Hector “Macho” Camacho was shot in a drive by shooting on Tuesday night in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, according to Puerto Rican news outlet Primera Hora.
The 50-year-old boxing legend was riding in a Ford Mustang, while a second automobile pulled up and unleashed a barrage of bullets at the Mustang, killing the driver and seriously injuring Camacho.
Sources told Primera Hora that Hector Camacho was struck by a bullet on the left side of his jaw and the bullet passed through his neck, fracturing his cervical vertebrae and ended up in his right shoulder, he was given a blood transfusion due to the massive amount of blood loss. Camacho is listed in critical condition.
Police have a suspect in custody.
