HBO will replay the Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez main event from last Saturday’s big pay-per-view fight on the live Nonito Donaire vs. Jorge Arce super bantamweight championship telecast December 15 on HBO World Championship Boxing.
The year 2012 ended with a bang, when global boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao faced off against his bitter rival Mexican great Juan Manuel Marquez for a fourth time, both fighters promised to end the fight in a knockout and both fighters gave the boxing fans their money’s worth by delivering on their promise to go out on their shield. Pacquiao was dropped in the third round and came back to drop Marquez in the 5th round, the sixth round was pure action as Pacquiao seized the moment after seeing Marquez hurt and badly bloodied only to get caught at the last second with a powerful straight right hand that sent shockwaves through the boxing world putting Pacquiao down and out lying face first on the canvas for several minutes. Marquez’s knockout of Pacquiao is likely the knockout of the year, and the fight is a candidate for fight of the year.
