Showtime sports presents an exciting night of boxing on Saturday, January 26 from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Three interesting and exciting match-ups will take place on the Showtime boxing card, the main event will be a junior welterweight bout Lucas Matthysse vs. Mike Dallas Jr., the co-main event is a junior middleweight bout Selcuk Aydin vs. Jesus Soto Karass, and the first bout of the televised broadcast is a junior middleweight bout Jermell Charlo vs. Harry Joe Yorgey.
Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30 KOs) is a hard hitting Argentinean fighter, who many boxing analysts consider one of the best at 140 pounds, his only two defeats came at the hands of Zab Judah and Devon Alexander — both losses were considered highly controversial with many ring side observers giving the victory to Matthysse. His opponent is Mike Dallas Jr. (19-2-1, 8 KOs) a rising contender from Bakersfield, California who is bouncing back from losses to Josesito Lopez (by KO) and Mauricio Herrera (by decision).
Turk fighter Selcuk Aydin (23-1, 17 KO) currently resides in Germany, and is looking to comeback after receiving his first loss in July of 2012 against Robert Guerrero, he will fight the tough veteran from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico Jesus Soto Karass (26-8-3, 17 KOs), this is a style match that could produce fireworks.
Jermell Charlo (19-0, 9 KOs) is a 22-year-old undefeated top junior middleweight prospect out of Houston, Texas and he will face off against 35-year-old veteran Harry Joe Yorgey (25-1-1, 12 KOs) of Pennsylvania.
