California – The Puerto Rican puncher, Jorge “Machito” Maysonet (11-0, 10 KOs), and rival Gabriel Tolmajyan ( 13-2-1, 3 KO ) met the set weight of 135 pounds for their tonight’s co-feature bout in the televised co-feature of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights on April 5th, featuring Jonathan Maicelo (19-0, 11 KOs) vs. Rustam Nugaev (22-6-1, 12 KOs) in an USBF lightweight title fight IBF lightweight bout scheduled for 12 rounds. The fight will take place at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California.
The show will air live at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on ESPN2, and will be available online through WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app. The card will also air live on ESPN Deportes +, the new digital extension of ESPN Deportes, and will air tape delayed on ESPN Deportes Saturday, April 6, at 2 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Maysonet,Jr weighed in at 134 pounds and his opponent 135 for a bout scheduled for eight rounds.

Physically and mentally I feel really good,” said a confident Maysonet,Jr “people can expect from me a good show as usual, people like to see huge knockouts and calmly and without hesitation I will give the fans what they want, specially now that my opponent still believe I’m not able to knock him out”.

Maysonet,Jr is trained by his father of the same name, who represented Puerto Rico at the Olympics 1984 in Los Angeles. As a pro, he was a world title contender, who finished with 22 victories, all by way of knockout.
