HBO presents a special afternoon boxing card live from Macau, China, on April 6, 2013 featuring the pro boxing debut of decorated Chinese Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming, and two championship bouts one flyweight bout with Brian Viloria putting his WBA/WBO titles on the line against Juan Estrada, and Puerto Rican WBO super featherweight champion Rocky Martinez defending his belt against top contender Diego Magdaleno.
The feature bout of the evening will be the much anticipated debut of Chinese amateur boxing star Zou Shiming. Shiming is a two time Olympic gold medalist in the light flyweight division, he will make his boxing debut at flyweight and is trained under the legendary trainer Freddie Roach. According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, Shiming’s fight will be the most watched boxing event with hundreds of millions of Chinese people watching.
The two other bouts featured on the special HBO2 international boxing broadcast would be worthy of headlining their own cards. Flyweight champion Brian Viloria will have a tough fight in front of him when he takes on hard hitting Juan Estrada, and Puerto Rican super featherweight champion Rocky Martinez known for his championship heart will take on the highly touted undefeated challenger Diego Magdaleno.
