HBO World Championship Boxing heads over the England on May 25 for the anticipated Carl Froch vs. Mikkel Kessler rematch. Froch (30-2, 22 KOs) and Kessler (46-2, 35 KOs) delivered one of the best fights in the super-middleweight division back in April of 2010 when then undefeated Froch traveled to Denmark to take on Kessler on his home turf, the fight turned out to be a close and hard fought competitive fight, but Froch ended up with the short end of the stick suffering his first professional loss and his WBC title.
Since the defeat to Kessler, Froch was able to recapture a title belt, by defeating the undefeated Lucian Bute by stoppage and claiming the IBF super-middleweight belt. Kessler left the first Froch fight with an eye injury and contemplated retirement. Since recovering from the injury he has been on a four fight winning streak capturing the WBA title in the process. For both fighters this rematch is a moment to prove who really was the better man.
