Adrien Broner is set to take on WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi in his 147 pound debut but the build up to the fight hasn’t been friendly, both boxers took shots at each other during the press conferences leading up to the June 22 Showtime Championship Boxing bout with Broner getting an ex-girlfriend of Malignaggi involved.
The fight is an interesting one the trash talk and build up makes it anticipated to see if the bad blood boils over into the ring, but the stylistic questions are there. Will Broner carry over his power into the Welterweight division jumping up all the way from lightweight, could he be like Manny Pacquiao and still be a devastating force, can the older veteran Malignaggi use his boxing ability and craftiness to out box the younger undefeated challenger, these questions will be answered on Saturday night when Paulie Malignaggi puts his WBA belt on the line against Adrien Broner at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York.
