HBO boxing heads over to Revel Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey for a four fight broadcast of Boxing After Dark. The main event of the evening will be a live IBF middleweight championship bout between current title holder Daniel Geale of Australia against Darren Barker of England.
Geale, won the IBF belt in 2011 when he beat Sebastian Sylvester by decision and is coming off two big victories over Anthony Mundine and Felix Sturm. Barker, is a top contender in the middleweight division with his lone loss coming by KO in 11 to WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, this will be his second chance at a world title.
The undercard will feature an IBF light heavyweight championship bout Nathan Cleverly vs. Sergey Kovalev that was fought overseas in Wales and will be shown via tape delay. Also on the Geale vs. Barker card undefeated IBF 122-pound champion Jhonatan Romero of Colombia will fight Spain’s Kiko Martinez in a 12 round title fight and Thomas Dulorme will take on Frankie Figueroa in a Puerto Rican welterweight showdown .
