The current WBO 135 pound world champion Ricky Burns will take on tough challenger Ray Beltran in a main event that will be held at the Scottish Exhibition Centre, Glasgow, Scotland. The event will be televised on AWE formerly known as Wealth TV and will be live streamed on AWETV.com.
The tall Scotsman Ricky Burns (36-2, 11 KO’s) has owned the WBO super featherweight title and now the WBO lightweight title, and has already had a succession of title defends under his belt, but a bout against a aging Veteran in Ray Beltran could be his toughest bout in the division.
Raymundo Beltran (28-6, 17 KO’s) is a Mexican American boxer who has sparred long hours against the dynamic former pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao. He trains out of the Wild Card boxing club in Hollywood alongside Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach. Beltran has longed to become a world champion and at 32 years old he feels this is now his opportunity to win his first title after years of a hard grind.
