It seems the praise for Floyd Mayweather and his catchweight victory over the inexperienced champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is getting a bit overboard, especially from the Floyd lover boys.
Mayweather beat a tailor made flat footed, slow and predictable opponent in Canelo Alvarez and don’t forget a weight drained one too. We have never seen Floyd face a fighter with unpredictable punching angles, great stamina, and fast footwork.
The only fighter who had those qualities was a prime Manny Pacquiao and Floyd never wanted any part of him because he knew he would have trouble timing that lead left and awkward fast foot movement. He waits for his biggest threats to lose so his fans can use triangle theories to say that Floyd would have beat those guys in their prime but they got exposed so no need to fight them. This is why people shouldn’t buy into the Mayweather hype, the guy hasn’t fought guys unless he has a clear advantage over them. He knows in his head that Canelo was easy work, he knew this because anyone with half a boxing brain could see this. But he still had to have a sure advantage so he drained him, yes the hypocrite he is, he tried to justify the draining by saying Canelo offered to fight him at a catch-weight 2 years ago.
I don’t hate Floyd at all, but I hate when someone who talks so much trash and is arrogant doesn’t back up his talk in the ring with the guys we want to see at the RIGHT TIME.
We all know Manny Pacquiao is past his best, but to say that he had no shot against Mayweather or that Canelo was a better boxer and tougher opponent for Floyd is just silly. The Floyd fan boys actually said a guy like Canelo Alvarez is a better boxer, and was a bigger threat to Floyd than a prime Manny Pacquiao is. Apparently every boxer is better than Manny Pacquiao yet Floyd never wanted any part of a so called bum boxer who would have made him lots of money, and they are the ones always claiming that some people don’t know anything about boxing.
Since the Pacquiao haters and Floyd fan boys were saying that he beat a drained Miguel Cotto, they must honor their word and admit the same of Floyd Mayweather beating a drained, tailor made, opponent in Canelo Alvarez or else their opinion on boxing means nothing and they just further prove how biased they are.
