The Ultimate Fighting Championship goes to the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England on October 30 for UFC Fight Night 30 Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida vs. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Mark Munoz live on Fox Sports 2 in the United States.
Michael Bisping was originally scheduled to headline the event and face Mark Munoz but he had to pull out of the match due to an eye injury and was replaced by former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida.
This will be Machida’s middleweight debut after making a career at the 205-pound division he will cut down to 185 and facing off against former training partner Mark Munoz in his first bout. Munoz is a strong wrestler with vicious ground and pound and Machida is an elusive Karate fighter who is hard to take down, this will be an intriguing match-up in opposing styles.
The undercard co-feature will be a lightweight showdown between Britain’s own Ross Pearson against hard hitting sprawl and brawler Melvin Guillard. Both fighters are TUF alum and promised to put on a show.
