Tonight on HBO’s Boxing After Dark, a double header featuring two light heavyweight title fights will take center stage, WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson vs. Tony Bellew, and WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev vs. Ismayl Sillakh. The even will be broadcast live on November 30th at the Colisee de Quebec, in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
Adonis Stevenson is the leading candidate for the 2013 fighter of the year award, with three stoppages so far in 2013, he has dispatched of former light heavyweight champions Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud and tonight in his fourth fight this year he takes on the tough British fighter Tony Bellew.
The opening bout for the HBO broadcast will feature undefeated WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev taking on decorated former Amateur star Ismayl Sillakh. Kovalev like Stevenson is a hard hitting action packed offensive fighter, he has knocked out most of his opposition but he is in against one of his toughest test in Sillakh who has great boxing skills and punching power.
The winners of Stevenson vs. Bellew and Kovalev vs. Sillakh will meet in a unification bout for the WBC and WBO titles.
