UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is the most famous female MMA fighter in the world and just filmed two upcoming action movies The Expendables 3 and Fast and Furious 7 all while training for her big rematch against bitter rival Miesha Tate on December 28.
Rousey didn’t take the movie roles because she was overlooking Tate but to help her motivate herself for the fight. She felt it would make her work harder instead of being a distraction.
The two fighters were head coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 18: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate and the bad blood showed during filming. They first fought in Strikeforce where Tate was finished by armbar. the undefeated Rousey has finished all of her opponents by armbar submission.
The main event of UFC 168 will be a middleweight championship rematch between champion Chris Weidman and former champion Anderson Silva. Weidman pulled off one of the biggest upsets by knocking out the long reigning champion. A lot of fans believe Silva was not taking the fight serious, but Weidman wants to prove the KO was no fluke.
