Mexico’s biggest boxing star Saul Canelo Alvarez will step back into the MGM Grand arena after suffering his first career defeat to pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., his opponent will be light middleweight contender Alfredo El Perro Angulo.
The main event between Canelo and Angulo will be a 12 round non title fight held at the junior middleweight 154-pound division, the winner will take one more step toward title contention.
The undercard will feature several exciting match-ups. The co-main event will be a WBC super bantamweight championship bought, Leo Santa Cruz will defend his title against veteran and former champion Cristin Mijares.
Canelo’s older brother Ricardo Alvarez will be in the first bout of the Showtime PPV broadcast, he is taking on Sergio Thompson in a lightweight fight.
On the internet fight fans can watch the Jorge Linares vs. Nihito Arakawa lightweight bout for Free, it will be live-streamed online via YouTube at the official ShoSports page.
