Heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne will headline the next UFC on FOX card on April 19th to determine who is next in line for a shot at the heavyweight title.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has put together another great fight card on FOX. A heavyweight main event, between a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist in Werdum and a elusive striker with good finishing power in Browne.
The FOX broadcast will also feature a women’s bantamweight bout between two former top contenders Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche, both faced current UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey and lost by Armbar.
An exciting lightweight match up between Donald Cerrone and Edson Barboza could be the fight of the night. Cerrone known for his aggressive striking will pit his skills against Brazilian Muay Thai specialist Barboza.
The opening bout will be Brad Tavares vs. Yoel Romero in a middleweight bout. Tavares is riding a five winning streak in the UFC and represents Hawaii, Romero is a Cuban Olympic silver medalist wrestler who is known for beating the great American wrestler Cael Sanderson.
Six live preliminary fights will be shown on Fox Sports 1 at 5:00/1:00 PM ET/PT. Rafael dos Anjos vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov, Thiago Alvaes vs. Seth Baczynski, and Jorge Masvidal vs. Pat Healy are just a few standout bouts on the FS1 preliminary broadcast.
