Former lightweight world champion Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs) will fight in Texas at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas on April 18 against Puerto Rican contender Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KOs) for the vacant WBO light welterweight title.
Both combatants spoke confidently at the fight announcement presser, Dulorme dedicated the fight to all the Latino people around the world, and Crawford’s trainer Brian McIntyre responded by telling Dulorme that the Latino people cannot help him fight in the ring on that night, it’s only him and Crawford in the ring and Crawford will prevail.
Crawford is an unbeaten rising star out of Omaha, Nebraska, promoted by Top Rank and recently won the BWAA “Fighter of the Year” award for 2014. Dulorme believes this is his time to shine and is motivated to pull of the upset and win the vacant title on April 18.
Crawford vs. Dulorme will air live on HBO Boxing After Dark starting at 9:45 PM ET/PT.
