Floyd “Money” Mayweather is taking his training camp very serious as he prepares for the May 2 super fight against Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao. He has 10 sparring partners lined up, including top level southpaws and ring veterans Zab Judah and Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corley to help him prepare for every approach the Filipino WBO champion will bring, and he also brought Alex Ariza on board the former strength and conditioning coach of Pacquiao.
A short snippet of video was posted on Instagram via @mayweatherunlimited showing Floyd Mayweather teeing off on a southpaw sparring partner with bad intentions. Floyd is shown landing a hard right hand followed by a flurry of punches. The sparring partner covers up to try to avoid further punishment but Floyd loads up on more shots.
Although the sparring partner in the short clip fights nothing like Pacquiao and is much slower, it shows Floyd is very focused in sparring and working more on his offense and power. Maybe Mayweather is aiming to try and knockout the Filipino ring legend come May 2.
