IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook returns home Sheffield, England on March 28 to defend his title after beating American Shawn Porter for the belt last August in California. His opponent is crafty Romanian southpaw Jo Jo Dan.
Brook is unbeaten and coming off a severe leg injury after being slashed by a machete while on vacation, he is ready to defend his IBF title for the first time in front of his hometown in Sheffield. His opponent is a Jo Jo Dan originally from Romanian but fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dan is a good fighter who only has two losses on his record both two power punching Selcuk Aydin of Turkey.
Should Kell Brook prevail on Saturday, he puts himself in line to possibly face the winner of the May 2 welterweight championship unification super-fight between boxing super stars Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Another viable option for Brook is a all British showdown between his rival Amir Khan.
The IBF World Welterweight bout: Brook vs. Dan will be held at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, and televised in HD on Sky Sports 1.
