Episode two of Inside Mayweather vs Pacquiao starts off with Floyd Mayweather speaking about fighting for legacy, and it shows us glimpses of media days from each fighter. Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach at the Wild Card boxing club in Hollywood, and Mayweather and his team at his Las Vegas gym.
Floyd remembers the first time he came to Las Vegas to turn pro. His uncle Jeff took him to Vegas right after his controversial 1996 Olympics Bronze medal finish to turn professional. He was trained by his uncle’s Jeff and Roger Mayweather and his pro debut took place at the Texas Station Casino, he was paid $25,000 for his first fight against Roberto Apodaca. He won his pro debut by body shot knockout.
Mayweather is not taking the fight lightly, he trains 6 hours a day, twice a day, to prepare for his May 2 bout with Manny Pacquiao. Episode 2 also interviews his former boxing manager Don Hale who also took care of Floyd when his father went to prison. Floyd lived with Don Hale for a few years and spoke about how grateful he was.
