Manny Pacquiao is ready to return to the boxing ring after a short retirement and fresh off a Senatorial seat victory in the Philippines, he will return against WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas on November 5th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao who just arrived in Los Angeles on Wednesday September 7, will attend the only fight announcement press conference for the Pacquiao vs Vargas Pay-Per-View event. The press conference will be in Beverly Hills and both combatants and their respective trainers will be in attendance to answer questions from the media.
Fight fans will be able to watch the press conference online via Top Rank’s Live Video stream.
Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs) is a ring legend, and a Senator in the Philippines, he is also boxing’s only 8 division world champion. Vargas (27-1, 10 KOs) is the new WBO Welterweight champion of the world and is hungry to prove himself against the man he witnessed defeat so many of his Mexican boxing idols.
For Pacquiao this will be another stern test against a young lion who is much bigger and has youth on his side. Vargas is motivated by the fact he is going up against a boxing great and future hall of famer, a win over Pacquiao, especially, if dominant could make Vargas a star.
