Unbeaten American junior welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford will return to his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska to defend his belts against hard hitting challenger John Molina on December 10 at the CenturyLink Center. The Fight will be broadcast on HBO, but the non-televised undercard fights will be live streamed via Top Rank and YouTube.
During Friday’s weigh-in Crawford’s challenger John Molina failed to make the 140 pound limit and was over by 4 pounds he was given a few hours to lose the extra pounds but couldn’t and was fined giving over a portion of his purse. Molina issued a statement telling fans that he is sorry but his body at 33 years of age just couldn’t make the junior welterweight division anymore.
The live stream undercard will showcase cruiserweight Sean Monaghan, welterweight Mike Reed, lightweight Kevin Ceja Ventura, and light heavyweight Steven Nelson, all undefeated young talent rising the ranks in boxing.
