You heard it here folks, Irish boxer Michael Conlan will be making his second professional appearance at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois.
The fight is supposed to take place on May 26th of 2017. The news came from Top Rank promoter Bob Arum who signed Conlan to the promotion company back in September.
Conlan, who had a very successful amateur career made the decision to go professional after the 2016 Olympics. The Irish boxer made his professional debut last month on St. Patrick’s Day in the theater at Madison Square Garden against Tim Ibarra. Conlan was successful by getting the win via third round TKO. It was a night to remember for him and the Irish fans. Let’s also remember he had fellow Irishman UFC star Conor McGregor accompany him to the ring.
An opponent has not been named for Conlan but we all know he is up for the challenge as he has been back at the gym training hard.
There are also sources saying that he may fight in July on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn card that takes place in Australia. It has been a busy year for Conlan and he is not going to step on the brakes yet as he continues to make a name for himself in the boxing world.
